EVOCATIVE COACHING CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

To become certified through the Center for School Transformation and Lead Learner Associates as a “Certified Evocative Coach” you will need to pay an additional fee, pass a written exam, and assemble a portfolio of artifacts that documents your engagement with and mastery of the Evocative Coaching process. All this must be completed within one year of your last class in the program (if you do not complete the requirements within that time frame, you can audit/retake the program for a reduced fee to reset the clock for another year). Here are the requirements:

  • Hold a 20 hour Certificate of Completion (CoC) from both Evocative Coaching training Levels 1 and 2.
    • Pay a $395 USD fee through our registration process through EventBee. Note: The fee is nonrefundable once the certification process has begun. Paying the fee does not guarantee that your application for certification will be approved.
  • Pass a 100-question multiple-choice exam administered through an online testing site. A passing score is 80% or greater.
  • Submit your resume to document at least three years of professional experience.
  • Submit a signed copy of the Evocative Coaching Code of Ethics Agreement.
  • Submit your revised Coaching Platform
  • Submit the following materials for each of two people you have been coaching (two different teachers, two different school leaders, or two different leaders in your field):
    • An Informed Consent form, signed by each coachee, authorizing the review, release, and archiving of the audio recording and other portfolio artifacts.
    • A 30-minute audio recording (MP3 file type) of a coaching session pertaining to a school or leadership topic.
    • A completed Evocative Coaching Certification Score Sheet for each recording, making sure that each recording evidences at least 28 items on the score sheet
    • A completed Learning Brief Template based upon the coaching session
    • A completed Experimental Design Template growing out of the coaching session
      • A Coaching Session Feedback Form completed by the person you were coaching as soon as possible after the recording was made.

You have one full year after the completion of final class to complete the requirements for certification. Doing so will not only give you a valuable credential, it will also increase your knowledge and strengthen your practice with the Evocative Coaching process. And that, of course, is the real value of certification.

IMPORTANT: All materials must be submitted through an online tool. You will be given access once you qualify and pay for Certification. Please do not send your materials ahead of time or by email.

It is also possible to receive feedback on a submitted audio recording of a coaching session before submitting your audios for certification.

This option is selected by those who wish to make sure they are on the correct path before registering for full certification. The Feedback option allows you to submit a recording for feedback relative to its fidelity to the Evocative Coaching process. The recording submitted can be used as one of the two recordings submitted for certification if it meets the requirements. The fee for feedback is $130.00.
